Legal Counsel – Commercial

The Legal Counsel will be responsible for ensuring that the company operates according to the highest ethical, legal, and compliance standards. The Legal Counsel is part of the Legal Commercial team and will provide legal support to commercial team across various Evolution entities. This position will form part of the global legal team.
Key Responsibilities
- Act as a primary legal partner to the commercial function, leading day-to-day contractual reviews, negotiations, and drafting of a broad range of commercial agreements and related documentation..
- Lead the preparation, review, and negotiation of commercial contracts using and refining standard templates, including Service Terms & Conditions and reseller arrangements.
- Ensure alignment with company policies and risk frameworks by reviewing and advising on contractual terms against internal standards and approved positions.
- Ensure compliance with data protection requirements and draft, review and negotiate data protection agreements in an international environment.
- Manage amendments, variations, and extensions of existing agreements, ensuring continuity of commercial operations while safeguarding the company’s legal and financial interests.
- Oversee contract lifecycle management, including monitoring renewal and extension timelines and proactively leading related negotiation strategies.
- Provide clear, commercially focused legal advice to management, presenting legal risks, practical options, and strategic recommendations to support informed decision-making.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with commercial, finance, and operational teams to support business objectives while maintaining strong legal governance.
- Support the wider legal function on strategic or ad-hoc legal matters as required. Qualifications
- Possess a Doctor of Laws or a Legal Degree.
- At least 2 years’ experience as a lawyer;
- Good knowledge of corporate and commercial law.
- Very good command of English language.
- Ability to work independently and cooperate with different teams.
- Excellent analytical skills with the capacity of identifying all risks and proactively choosing the best solutions
